Wadada Wim has developed a sound that moves beyond traditional reggae.
The foundation is a deep, warm reggae groove, combined with soulful horns, distinctive saxophone lines, rich vocal harmonies and modern arrangements.
There is soul in it. There is roots in it. There is reggae in it.
But above all: there is Wadada.
We are not a tribute band.
We are not a cover band.
We don't play somebody else's hits.
We write our own.

That's what we are looking for when we write songs:

Not complicated. Not preachy.
Just real stories, wrapped in rhythm, melody and soul.

Wadada Wim comes from Amsterdam, but the music doesn't belong to one place.
The influences travel: Jamaica, soul, roots, Africa, the Lowlands and everything we have heard, lived and loved along the way.
The result is a sound that feels familiar and different at the same time.

Wadada Wim is made for the stage.
The full band brings together rhythm, bass, guitars, drums, horns and voices to create a sound that can fill a room without losing its intimacy.
Sometimes the audience dances.
Sometimes they listen.
Ideally, they do both.
Because for us, a good concert isn't just about entertaining people.
It's about sharing something with them.
A song.
A feeling.
A story.
And maybe, for a little while, seeing the world from a slightly different angle.
